From Governor To Senator – Only in Nigeria

By: Nathaniel I. NDIOKWERE

A Nigerian Priest and former Rector of St. Mary’s Seminary Umuowa, Orlu, Rev. Fr. Nathaniel Ndiokwere, has reacted over the next political intention of Gov. Rochas Okorocha who is vying for Senator, Orlu Zone.

AS GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE FOR 8 YEARS, ROCHAS:

(1) Could not build and maintain good roads

(2) Could not build and maintain Hospitals and other Healthcare Institutions

(3) Could not help Imolites enjoy electricity and potable water

(4) Could not improve quality education in IGBOLAND

(5) Could not set up stadiums or renovate old ones, promote sports activities for Imo youths

(6) Could not build small and big scale industries to provide jobs for millions of Imo youth (except hotels which increased prostitution in IGBOLAND and turned Imo state into modern ‘SODOM and GOMORRA’)

(7) Could not attract investors to Imoland.

(8) Could not put Imo State in the map of Nigeria as the first, second or third most attractive, progressive, peaceful and safest state in Nigeria!
(9) Could not place Imo state in the first, second or third position among all states in Nigeria, where workers’ salaries, pensions and gratuities were never owed; where it was a taboo to mention things like “Starving Workers and Pensioners!”
(10) Could not liberate Imolites from poverty

BUT WAIT! STOP! HOLD YOUR BREATH!

AS “SENATOR”, COME SENATORIAL ELECTION IN 2019, ROCHAS WOULD BE VOTED FOR, AND OVERWHELMINGLY BY IMOLITES, AND HE WOULD USE HIS GOOD OFFICES AS A “SENATOR” AT ABUJA TO ACCOMPLISH ALL HE COULD NOT AS A “GOVERNOR” FOR 8 YEARS! WHY NOT RETURN HIM TO POWER “UNOPPOSED!!”
