- It’s free to update your NIN but costs N20 from the network providers. However, the Federal Government of Nigeria has ordered for the network providers to stop charging N20 for this exercise, but they have not harkened to the instruction.
However, if you have the NIN already, there’s code for your network. Dial and check your status if you’re registered with it to your SIM. If not then try to visit any NIN Office in your area. If it’s difficult, try the banks. Keep in mind that not every bank does the NIN Registration.
