Police Arrest Customs Officers 

The Nigeria Police operating from Badagry, in Lagos state, have disclosed that they have arrested seven Customs Officers for allegedly killing a woman identified as Mrs. Patience Oni and also wounding a man at Forte Oil Fueling Station located at Badagry roundabout, Lagos State.

In a dialogue with Mr. Samson Akhiromen, Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Badagry Police State, he said that the customs officers were arrested for indiscriminately shooting and killing of innocent civilians at random.

According to the DPO, the officers from custom were raiding an illegal rice depot near a filling station around mid-day on Tuesday. And then they start firing randomly which results to the killing of the innocent woman, Mrs. Oni.

Their aim of firing openly was to scare traders and residents from that area away. Upon the random shooting, bullet only touched two people, one died immediately while the other is in the hospital now receiving treatment.

The custom officers were arrested with immediate effect because the husband to the dead victim is a police inspector who serves at Area “K” Police Station, Morogbo. 

Right now, the customs officers have been handed over to the SCIID Panti for further investigation and charging.
