Fake Policemen Caught Smuggling 50 Bags of ‘Weed’

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Operatives have apprehended two fake policemen, who were conveying 50 bags of weeds, suspected to be cannabis sativa which weighs 685 kilogrammes, along Okpella-Okene road.

The fake policemen were parading with a Black Toyota Bus with ‘Ondo AKR 392 LZ’ written on it, also with symbols of Nigeria Police Force.

The fake policemen identified as Ojukwu Henry and Mathew Onumba were described as members of a drug syndicate and they majored in smuggling cannabis from the South to North-West region of the country. This description was made by Edo State Commander, Mr. Buba Wakawa.

Reports from NDLEA Chairman had it that the bus took off from Uzebba, located in Owan West Local Government Area of the State, when it was intercepted when the agency officers were conducted a search.

In order to avoid any form of suspect, the suspects attached siren to the bus with a tainted glass so as to move freely and not to be stopped by any security agent.

The Toyota bus, with tainted glass, had a siren and police stickers both at the front and rear to deceive unsuspecting members of the public as well as security personnel.

Meanwhile they have been arrested and set for further queries and punishment.
