The tussle for the APC governorship ticket in Imo and Ogun state between the APC national chairman and the incumbent governors of Imo and Ogun sate Rochas Okorocha and Ibikunle Amosun which came with razzmatazz on the social media came to an abrupt end as the National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole became the actor while the two aforementioned governors became the boss as we see in movie series. DECEMBER EVENTS AWOOF!

While Okorocha advocated for his son in-law Uche Nwosu who he wanted as a his successor Amosun on the other hand wanted  Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade  member respresenting Egbado south and Ipokia Federal Constituency at the House of Representative to succeed him.

The drama which made Abuja and ASO villa a Mecca for Okorocha as he was often seen to and fro Abuja with steady meeting with PMB who he said was not in support of the activities of Oshiomhole.

The war of unprintable words which greeted the tussle made many to see the tussle as doom for the ruling party.

The defeat of Oshiomhole has however raised questions on the Federal power which Okorocha have claimed to have and is however a shown the little or no chance he will have for his 2023 presidential ambition as the tussle was seen by many as a way of proving his federal might.

Adams Oshiomhole who insisted on the principle of what he called equity and fairness stood his ground during the period of the tussle and showed his might by coming out victorious despite the allegations of bribery during the process.

Amosun’s candidate having lost out, defected to Allied Peoples Movement (APM) while Okorocha’s candidate defected to Action Alliance (AA) to meet up with INEC’S December 1st deadline for submission of the names of candidates by political parties ahead of the 2019 election.

The bad part of the drama was the washing of dirty linens of the parties involved outside through war of words. The crises would have been well managed if only the persons involved has respect for one another.

The open indictment and direct accusation of the national Chairman of the party by the aggrieved members is worrisome and shows that the aggrieved members lack sportsmanship. If you call your chairman corrupt and bribe collector what will be your reaction when the opposition make such allegation.

The inability of the party to manage the crises to accommodate all the aggrieved members is a bad omen and does not portray the party in a good light.

Crises is bound to happen but lack of management of such is the problem.
