Gunmen Attack Policemen, Kill One and take away Riffles in Delta

GUNMEN ATTACK POLICEMEN

There are series of ugly incident occurring frequently in Delta State. Every new day brings a new ugly incident.

On Friday last week, unknown gunmen attacked policemen at night and kill one of the officers, and then take away two riffles and a pistol at Kowen Plaza in Asaba, Delta State. The policemen were on “stop and search duty” before the attack took place. The incident happened between 07:00 pm and 08:00 Pm.

The gunmen first disarmed and surrendered the policemen as they were on duty and then keep the fire on steadily.

Though, they only succeeded in killing one officer, other officers were injured also.

According to Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa, there is thorough investigation going on in order to apprehend the gunmen. he also went further to assure that they will not rest until they discover them.
