MAD MAD RAPES MARKET WOMAN  

A mad man who is identified as Abey Chukwudi, has been suspected to rape a market woman who is 51 years old in the Ogbeogonogo market space in Delta State. This horrible incident occurred at the early hours of this day (Thursday) in Asaba, the capital city of Delta State.  Mad man rapes market woman in Delta.

The victim, Adigwe Eunice, who trades on palm oil and Banga seeds, was said to have been raped by this devotedly suspected mad man as she was busy attending to a customer in the market.

Description of the Rape:

According to an eyewitness, the suspect allegedly swooped down on the woman and struggled with force to remove her wrapper and underwear. He struggles to get into the woman lasted, though incident attracted many people.

At the course of this, the woman fell down to the ground and clamored for assistance, and not too long, the security agents came to her rescue and in returns called the mad man to order by beating the hell out of him instantly.

Police officers at the “A”Division police station, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to journalists who rushed to the scene, said, “the suspect got the beating of his life as he refused to let go of the woman. We had to tear gas him before he stood up from the woman’s body after removing her clothes forcefully. It was observed the suspect was talking none stop and meaninglessly, and we suspect something was wrong. The woman was however saved and took her away for treatment”.

An eyewitness, Maureen Ebele, disclosed

“the man in Buba Shokoto and Agbada clothes suddenly pounced on the woman as she bend down from behind to remove her clothes, she started shouting but for fear of the suspect nobody came close. Thank God for the security agents who had to tear gas him as he fell on the woman on the ground before the woman was let off the hook. It was like a drama”.

THE IMMEDIATE AFTERMATH:

An eyewitness, Frank Odare, described the act as a taboo, adding that the suspect may not be mad but had a mission to accomplish. In his explanation, he posed several unanswered questions as ‘Was the man really mad?’, ‘Why was the market woman alone?’. He therefore blames the woman also.

Again, the Delta state Commissioner of Police, Mustafa Muhammad, while speaking with journalists on the incident, said, “the suspect’s action clearly shows he is sick as reported by officers at the “A” Division in charge of the area.

The suspect was very dirty and he was sent away after the woman was rescued from his hands. The whole thing was like a mystery in the open market place, the officers said they found packets of cigarettes in his pocket, some of which he had smoked.” 

This is such a terrible incident, but thank God that the woman was not harmed.
