Verified reports coming to us through a confidential source (who is also an aid to one of the governors) had it that the governor of Imo state, Mr. Rochas Okorocha was in a very big direct confrontation with some top APC juggernauts including the governor of Kaduna State, Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai.
This internal but silent fracas is not unconnected with the open threat by Okorocha to work against APC if his chioce governorship candidate who is also his in-law – Uche Nwosu is not helped by APC to become the next Imo State governor.
In a secret meeting held in Abuja over the weekend where Rochas Okorocha, Nasir Ahamad el-Rufai, Yahaya Bello and others were present, Okorocha soliticited once again the complete support of the APC and the power of incumbency to subdue the Imo population into inserting his choice candidate Uche Nwosu to be the next governor of Imo State.
Okorocha reiterated that it was done in Ekiti and Osun states and asked why it couldn’t be done in Imo State with the help of the FG power.
