FATHER COMMITS SUICIDE IN AKWA IBOM

A father of three children has committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope right inside his room. This incident occurred where he lives around NEPA Line, Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

Before the notice of the neighbors, he has already died. His colleagues at work who traced him to find out why he has been absent from work found his dead body still dangling up there where he was hanged. This man is said to be about thirty seven years old with a wife and three children. 

Some of the residents identified the man as a gentleman and wondered why he would have chosen to commit suicide.

When the wife was reached, she cried bitterly and disclosed that the husband called her on Thursday and pleaded for her and the children to forgive him. Though the wife is aware of an offense but the offense is yet to be ascertained. She goes on to say that she never know he could take such decision.

The incident was communicated to the Police Public Relation Officer DSP MacDon Odiko, but he requested the report to be on his table in office immediately.
