EFCC Arrested 36 ‘Yahoo Boys’
At Ibadan, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested thirty-six online fraudsters at 21, Sawmill, Awa-Ijebu, Ogun State, Nigeria.
This was disclosed by Mr Orilade Tony, in a statement in Abuja on Thursday. In his statement, the commission’s acting head, media and publicity, affirmed that the suspects, who range between 18 years and 38 years of age, included 23 university students. Nine ladies among them clam to be girlfriends of some of the suspects.
While narrating what happened, the speaker said that ‘The suspects operate by sending emails to unsuspecting victims mostly in the U.S.A and other foreign countries, while others use dating and military format.

- 300 Sim Cards
- Different Cars
- 18 Laptops
- Apple products
- 50 Cell Phones (21 are iPhones)
- Bags containing charms.
These items were gotten from the suspects who would be charged to court after proper research is made.
