Boys Apprehended in Ikenegbu, Owerri
Two young boys have been apprehended on their way to a murder-operation in Ikenegbu, Owerri, Imo State. The young boys arrested are suspected to be Cultist, embarked on a murder-operation with their tools to kill one man who resides around the eastern axis of Ikenegbu, Owerri.

These two suspected cultists were caught with some tools for their operation such as Axes and Machetes which they will use to carry out their operation. Other items recovered include perfume, mobile phones, and little money with their operation one-hand bag.

When some people realized their ugly movement, they raised alarm and created awareness to many others who came and hold the boys hostage until the arrival of the policemen to arrest them.
Currently, they are in police custody.
Reactions from People
Due to the ugly nature of this incident, the angry mob already wished to burn them alive for having thought of committing such a crime. Many grownup guys and boys of their ages also beat them mercilessly after which the boys were arrested.
To many people, they are cult guys from the Axe Men Cult group, and to many others, they are fresh cultists and that was the first assignment given to them to carry out.
Some people have lamented that this act performed by these young boys is a result of a bad upbringing. They also encouraged parents to always give their children good training so as not to be nuisances in the community tomorrow.

In line with this, Mr. Lewis Njoku, who resides around that area, commented that;
It is better not to give birth, than to give birth with no intention to train your children. He added that these young boys should face the law of the country. He rightly suggested that they should be killed, since they drive joy in killing.
In a critical interview with one of the boys arrested (culprits), he bitterly stated that it was not his intention to engage himself in such operation, ‘I was lured into it’ he added while shivering.
